Na Baniamineral baths of Bulgaria БГ

About the bath

The Kazanlak mineral bath is in the heart of the old town centre, right next to the town market and the central mosque. There is paid hourly parking nearby. Before the new bath was built, a hammam, “Lalyuva Banya”, was in use here, but it has been closed for years and is falling apart, even though the building is listed as an immovable cultural monument.
Until 2018 the bath was among the assets of “Higienni i Bitovi Uslugi – Kazanlak” EOOD, but Kazanlak Municipal Council decided to transfer the property to the municipality free of charge. After a competition in 2018 it was then leased under a 10-year concession, and the concessionaire invested in renovating the building.
The renovated bath opened in January 2019.
The Kazanlak mineral bath building is solid and single-storey. The bath has two classic bathing halls, separate for men and women, and 2 family cubicles with bathtubs.
The changing rooms are fitted with new lockers.
Each bathing hall has 12 showers, 22 stone basins (kurni) and a pool (plunge pool) with constantly renewed mineral water. The water in the plunge pools is 39 °C.
