About the bath
The “Banche” mineral bath is known for its healing qualities and has been used since ancient times. The balneotherapy centre has a men's and a women's section in two almost identical buildings. The pools of the sections (well-type pools) are fed by a spring captured directly beneath them; the water comes up through porous slabs. Besides the pools, each section has 7 showers and 1 stone basin (kurna).
Because of construction near the buildings, the flow into the pools has fallen and the water is renewed much more slowly.
South of the “Banche” bath is an open-air mud therapy centre, also with a men's and a women's section. It works from June to September and has three pools in all, with 14 showers. The healing mineral peat mud and the mineral water work together for an excellent therapeutic effect.

The small baths get their mineral water from the “Zhensko Banche” and “Mazhko Banche” water sources, while the showers in both baths and the open-air mud therapy centre are fed from the “Tsentralen Kaptazh” (Central Captage) water source, borehole No. 1 “Kokalche”.
