About the bath
A solid building in the centre of Aytos, built as a classic bath with two sections. A public laundry was added to the bath building. Nearby there used to be an old bath from the Ottoman period with marble basins, but it was demolished during the socialist era. After property disputes, a court decision in 2020 confirmed that the building is municipal property.

The water and its healing properties
The mineral spring “Ladzhata” in Aytos rises from 7 openings. It was captured in 1928, when a large fountain was also built. Day and night it pours out colourless water with a soft, pleasant taste and no smell. The water is cold, 17 °C, with a flow of about 30 l/min. The latest tests show that it is not only fit but also good for drinking. This spring is also the best-known local water source – the fountain where everyone in Aytos fills their bottles.
