Na Baniamineral baths of Bulgaria БГ

About the bath

Built with volunteer labour by the local community for the surrounding villages and visitors to the area. For lovers of off-road adventures: the bath lies high above Kresna and there is no paved road to it – it is a 14 km off-road drive. Few people know this place or get to see it. An old stone building with a bath and a laundry, with separate entrances and two springs, one lukewarm and one hot. At present the site is not working. GOOD NEWS! It looks as if the site is being prepared for renovation.

The water and its healing properties

The water is mixed in a “cherpatel” (mixing basin), and in one of the pools it reaches an impressive 44 °C. The water really is boiling! (“Vrelata voda” means “the boiling water”.) As engineer Velichkov says in the report: “Nothing compares with this place!”
