About the bath
The architect was Nikola Neshev, who took part in designing and building the New Bath (1930) and the Casino (1924), part of the same complex. Neshev was a respected and well-known architect in his day, a native of Vidin, where many of the finest buildings are his work. In 1930 the so-called New Bath of the complex was also built, entirely to his plans.

The water and its healing properties
Balneological resources: the mineral water (hydrocarbonate-sulphate-sodium) from six springs and boreholes has an average temperature of 37 °C and is clear, colourless and pleasant to drink. Water of similar composition is found in Argentina, Ecuador and India. Its pleasant natural temperature, valuable chemical components, alkaline reaction and low mineralisation make it highly beneficial. It is used to treat diseases of the nervous system, the heart and blood vessels, the musculoskeletal system, the endocrine glands and more. The resort is particularly good for neuroses – the illnesses of our time.
