About the bath
The so-called New Bath was built in 1930. The architect was Nikola Neshev, who took part in designing and building the Old Bath (1910) and the Casino (1924), part of the same complex. The New Bath was built entirely to his plans and completed by architect Angel Radev, as Nikola Neshev died in 1928. Neshev was a respected and well-known architect in his day, a native of Vidin, where many of the finest buildings are his work. The whole third floor of the bath is unused and falling into ruin.

The water and its healing properties
You can find all the benefits of the water on this website (https://nkrehabilitation.bg/filiali/varshets/)
Balneological resources: the mineral water (hydrocarbonate-sulphate-sodium) from six springs and boreholes has an average temperature of 37 °C and is clear, colourless and pleasant to drink. Water of similar composition is found in Argentina, Ecuador and India. Its pleasant natural temperature, valuable chemical components, alkaline reaction and low mineralisation make it highly beneficial. It is used to treat diseases of the nervous system, the heart and blood vessels, the musculoskeletal system, the endocrine glands and more. The resort is particularly good for neuroses – the illnesses of our time.
