More information
The water and its healing properties
Temperature 35–43 °C. The healing and preventive properties of the water come from its mineralisation and its sulphate, hydrocarbonate, sodium and fluoride ions, and from metasilicic acid in a colloidal state.
Drinking cures with this type of water act mainly on the gastrointestinal tract, the liver and gall bladder, and the kidneys and urinary system. The water reduces excess stomach acidity slightly and stimulates the movement of the bile ducts. It has an anti-inflammatory and detoxifying effect thanks to its high content of metasilicic acid – 51 mg/l.
Used for drinking cures and balneoprophylaxis (after tempering to 33–35 °C), it has a beneficial effect on the following conditions:
gastrointestinal conditions (chronic gastritis, gastroduodenitis, peptic ulcers, enterocolitis, etc.);
liver and gall bladder conditions (gallstones, chronic cholecystitis, cholangitis, cholangiohepatitis, chronic hepatitis, biliary dyskinesia, etc.);
kidney and urological conditions (chronic pyelonephritis, chronic cystitis, kidney and urinary stones, conditions after lithotripsy, etc.);
metabolic disorders (gout, obesity, diabetes, etc.).
The mineral water is used for drinking cures and balneoprophylaxis on medical prescription, following strictly defined methods and doses (amount of water taken, temperature and way of taking it, length of the course).
Inhalation treatment is used for chronic non-specific diseases of the upper and lower respiratory tract.
Used for external balneotherapy and balneoprophylaxis (after tempering to 33–35 °C), it has a beneficial effect on the following conditions: • degenerative and inflammatory joint diseases in remission (osteoarthritis, spondyloarthritis, coxarthrosis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, etc.);
diseases of the peripheral nervous system (disc disease, radiculitis, plexitis, polyradiculoneuritis, etc.);
orthopaedic conditions (for mobilisation after injuries and operations on the musculoskeletal system);
gynaecological conditions (chronic non-specific adnexitis, parametritis, etc.);
skin conditions (chronic non-specific dermatitis, psoriasis, etc.).
Contraindications for external balneotherapy:
specific diseases;
infectious diseases;
diseases in the active stage and decompensated function of organs and systems;
cancer;
ischaemic heart disease with arrhythmia;
epilepsy.
