About the bath
A solid building in very good condition with the classic layout (two sections) – showers, stone basins (kurni) and plunge pools. It stands in a park, in a fenced yard at the edge of the village, right next to the former municipal mineral pool. The bath worked until 2020, when it was closed and, by decision of Petrich Municipal Council, sold.

The water and its healing properties
The total mineralisation of the mineral water from borehole No. 1hg of the “Kromidovo” deposit is 502 mg/l. It is hyperthermal, low in minerals, with sulphate, hydrocarbonate, sodium and fluoride ions, and shows no sanitary-chemical or microbiological signs of pollution. Because of its high fluoride content (10.74 mg/l measured) and arsenic content (0.031 mg/l measured), the water is classed as unsuitable for drinking.
Used for external balneotherapy and balneoprophylaxis (after appropriate tempering to 35–37 °C), it has a beneficial effect on the following conditions:
degenerative and inflammatory diseases in remission (arthritis, coxarthrosis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis, etc.);
diseases of the peripheral nervous system (disc disease, radiculitis, plexitis, polyradiculopathy, etc.);
after surgery on the musculoskeletal system (for kinesitherapy after injuries and operations);
skin conditions (chronic dermatitis, psoriasis);
gynaecological conditions (chronic gynaecological inflammation of the female reproductive system – infertility, metritis, chronic adnexitis, etc.).
