About the bath
Design of the building began in 1936, but construction was only completed in 1946. It has one section with stone basins (kurni) and a therapeutic pool. The money came from donations by local people. The bath worked until the early 1990s.

The water and its healing properties
By protocol No. 61 of 20 December 1968, the chemical laboratory of the Research Institute of Resort Medicine and Physiotherapy in Sofia confirmed the content of various minerals in 1 litre of the water. The water was classed as hypothermal, low in minerals, hydrocarbonate–calcium–magnesium water. It was stressed that it “can be used for treatment by drinking and bathing in: gastrointestinal conditions with increased stomach secretion, inflammatory diseases of the intestines, liver and gall bladder conditions, chronic hepatitis, cholecystitis, cholangitis, dyskinesia, gallstones, inflammation of the urinary tract and kidney stones, metabolic disorders, gout, obesity. By inhalation – in diseases of the upper respiratory tract. By bathing – in functional nervous disorders.” (after Aneta Dilova)
