Na Baniamineral baths of Bulgaria БГ

About the bath

In the 1950s, while drilling for oil in the village of Slanotran, mineral water with an interesting composition and healing properties gushed out. In 1961–1962 a building was put up with two sections, each with its own pool; there was also a pool for people with skin problems. Later, in 1977, a new bath was built with a health service and a doctor to prescribe treatments, and foundations were laid for a sanatorium that was never finished. The bath worked until 1986, when it was closed and left to fall into ruin, and the borehole was plugged. Recently the building was demolished completely, as it did not have the necessary building permits.
