About the bath
The “Kumaritsa” mineral bath is in a busy spot on the road to the Iskar Gorge, near “Kumaritsa” station. There is also a public transport stop nearby.
The building is solid and single-storey, built in the late 1940s. It worked until 2004, when it was closed because of bacteria in the water.
The bath had changing rooms and a bathing hall with stone basins (kurni) and a plunge pool, used by women at certain hours and by men at others. The rest of the building held rehabilitation cubicles. It now serves as a storehouse for the Novi Iskar district.
