About the bath
The Gnilyane mineral bath is just before the village of Gnilyane, after the turn-off from the ring road towards Novi Iskar. There is a public transport stop near the bath.
The building is solid and single-storey. After it closed as a public mineral bath it was leased under a concession, but was later abandoned and is falling apart. It was closed because the flow of water fell: for unknown reasons the water level dropped below the level at which the borehole flows by itself. The building is now in very poor structural condition and part of the roof has collapsed.
The bath had a changing room and rooms with stone basins (kurni) and a plunge pool. It was used by women and men on separate days.
