Na Baniamineral baths of Bulgaria БГ

About the bath

Locals call it “the Roman bath”, because it is built over the Roman masonry of the captage, thought to date from the 2nd–3rd century AD. The building stands on the right bank of the Malka Arda River. It has two vaulted pools – a men's and a women's. The men's pool is said to have been there “since the world began”; the women's was built in 1527. The bath worked until 2004. According to the media, Banite Municipality has taken steps to restore it.
